University of South Florida - St. Petersburg is a rapidly growing, autonomous, urban campus of the University of South Florida and also a Doctoral and Research University. More than 4000 students enroll in 45 undergraduate and graduate degree programs through the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, etc. The campus of University of South Florida is the site of a branch of College of Nursing, the Children's Research Institute, College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics and the College of Marine Science which is famous throughout the nation. The Florida Humanities Council, the USGS Center for Coastal and Watershed Studies, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission's Florida Marine Research Institute (and the Florida Institute of Oceanography are also located on campus.

St. Petersburg University maintains a separate identity and mission while contributing to and benefiting from the associations, cooperation, and shared resources of the existing National Research University.

We also provide new facilities and technology that support the campus's mission and that advance cooperative teaching and learning.
